Asheville has a different feel to it; if you have never been there you must stop for a bit to walk and feel the vibe.

It was a fluke that we came across this place but after walking around with my son, I would business people on their lunch breaks with one step and hippies with bell bottoms on the next.

There was a sense of acceptance in the air that I had not ever experienced before.

Since that day if we are ever out on the road, we make a point to stop in Ashville, NC for lunch if at all possible.

The Mellow Mushroom is a great place to eat on a sunny afternoon. Sit outside and take it all in. They have great microbrews and the pizza is very good as well, there are many other places to sit outside and eat but I can't give a rank because we always stop at the Mellow Mushroom.
