A Beautiful North Carolina Beach
We have beautiful beaches in North Carolina. How do I know? I live at one! The Crystal Coast (Morehead City, Atlantic Beach) attracts visitors from all states and is a lovely place to live. Because our coast if found on the underside of the state, (sort of) our beaches face south instead of east. This is quite a plus when it comes to hurricanes. We are more protected from tropical storms because of this!
The area here continues to grow. I think the Chamber of Commerce estimates around 30,000 people living here. New businesses are popping up like a field of daisies!
Its a family oriented area, as most NC beaches are, and a great place to vacation. There is much history here and lovely beaches and family restaurants to enjoy.
Even the winters here are not harsh for the most part. We do have some colder days but not many! Spring and fall are when the locals enjoy the area. The tourists come here year round because of the many fishing tournaments held in our county but the summer traffic is very good!
The main problem with the area, is that most of the entertainment for kids has been taken away from the growth the area has experienced. Bowling alleys, skating rinks, and water slides have been torn down to make room for more businesses.
If you've ever wanted to own one of these, it's a great time to get in! The people around here are patiently waiting for someone to come in and replace what has been taken away!
Aside from that one thing, it's a great place to live. I actually live in the country in Newport, NC and am still part of the county. (Carteret Co.) So you actually have country living to beach living in the same county. What a great way to spend your days!
